The Future is
Food For All
by 2035

Food City STL is a community-driven initiative that transforms how we grow, share, and govern food in St. Louis.

We facilitate cross-sector partnerships that advance collective city-building through community-aligned systems, community-owned stories, and community-led solutions.

Our work is rooted in a simple truth: food is a human right—not a privilege. While St. Louis is rich in farmland, food culture, and agricultural innovation, too many of our neighbors still struggle to access nourishing, affordable food. These inequities are not accidental. They are the legacy of disinvestment, discrimination, and policy failure.

Food City is leading the Food For All 2035 Platform, a people-powered roadmap toward a healthier, more equitable St. Louis by 2035. We are not a single organization or top-down program—we are a shared movement that unites residents, growers, educators, artists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and investors in a common cause.

Whether you’re starting a garden, organizing a potluck, passing policy, or funding local farms, you have a role in reshaping the food system. Together, we dismantle barriers, redistribute power, and regenerate both land and community.

Imagine a Food For All city, where food isn’t accessible only through the desperate prayers of the poor, but through policies and practices upheld by our leaders and more fortunate citizens.
